Joomla Templates - Wordpress Themes with Artisteer

Tags artisteer - joomla - templates - wordpress - themes

We have purchased Artisteer and have created and implemented a Joomla template on this blog site. We are not a template club or template designers, per se. We have joined the clubs and purchased individual licenses over the years. We have heavily modified template club templates to make them "unique" to the client.

Introduction to Open Source Website - Part 2

So why did we (s-go Consulting) build the Open Source Website blog? If you are in the web development business, you know many answers to this question. Here are NOT some of the reasons:

  • Everyone is Doing It
  • Get Rich Fast
  • Become Famous
  • Gain Total Consciousness (Which is nice)
  • So Bored, Nothing Else to Do
The reason we are launching it now is because we offer blogs, including Third Party Blogs, as a service and we wanted both Joomla and Wordpress blogs of our own. We wanted to share our experience in the open source website design/development business with the world and hope other firms just like us join into the conversation. We know that we can help many other developers and are looking for people to help us as well! We know that in using social networks like Twitter and Facebook that we can build a community of like (or even dissimilar) people that share at a certain level. You see, we are first and foremost, a MARKETING firm.

Introduction to Open Source Website - Part 1

s-go Consulting has been building websites using content management system based, open source applications since 2003. It was in 2003 that an engineer that I was working with showed me a Harley Davidson Club website that he had built using phpWebSite. It blew my mind. It had a database with user ACL, cool photo albums, an interactive calendar and many other functions. I could not do the same things with the dozen or so sites that I had built since 1997 using Frontpage and Dreamweaver. Plus I was not in the web design business, until I saw a CMS!
